Francisco Carlos da Graça Nunes Correia
Full Professor
Area of activity: environment and water resources, including policy formulation and assessment and models of governance. Author or co-author of 10 books and more than 130 articles, book chapters and technical reports in these areas. Recent projects: collaboration with the OECD in the establishment of the principles for good governance and the evaluation of the models for water management in Brazil and The Netherlands. Contribution for the elaboration of the National Water Plan of Angola.
MSc and PhD in Civil Engineering by Colorado State University, Coordinator of Research by LNEC and Habilitated (Agregado) by the Technical University of Lisbon. Grand-Officer of the Order of Infante D. Henrique (2010) in recognition for the achievements in Portuguese Government as Minister of the Environment, Land-Use Planning and Regional Development (2005-2009).
Coordinator of several research projects funded by the European Commission, notably EUROWATER and WATER 21. Consultant to water resources projects funded by the World Bank (PROSAN and Proágua Semi-árido).
